Rigging, Set up & preparation are the most important part to keep you safe and trouble free. We have been fitting outboards to boats for over 40 years and know the only way to do it is the correct way & using the best equipment available. The last thing you want is your steering cable snapping at 40 knots !! and all because a cheap one was fitted.
We can fit just the engine or the complete boat. Deck lights, GPS plotters, VHF Radio’s Nav lights, Shore power, Sound systems etc. To help keep everything reliable for years we will only use marine grade products, tinned wire water proof heat shrink connectors, and all our wires are held down with P clips.
We fit out the Stingher Rib from start to finish, see the gallery for pics of our work.
Water trap filters are fitted as standard to all set up’s to keep the fuel system clean.
We have fitted outboards to just about every boat imaginable from a Jeanneau Merryfisher with a 90 to a Stingher 10 mtr with a pair of Verado 400 R’s.
We were involved in the Honda race series and looked after many of the race boats, mainly due to our experience and understanding what goes wrong. In 1991 we set up a 6.5 mtr Rib for ourselves to compete in the Round Scotland Rib race, which we won by 2.5 hours, all down to the set up.
We set up a Revenger 29 stepped hull powered by 2 Mercury racing 300 XS for the Round Britain Race in 2008 which would run at 94 MPH !! A few years late it won the Cowes Torquay Cowes Powerboat Race.
